Judd R. Spray is Of Counsel to Kauff Laton Miller LLP. He has provided thoughtful legal counsel to individuals and corporate clients in commercial and employment disputes for over 20 years.
Judd has special expertise in litigation concerning the financial industry and complex financial instruments, having represented clients in matters concerning residential mortgage-backed securities, credit default swaps, charitable trust fund assets, and life insurance premium financing. Judd also has experience representing insurance companies in coverage litigation as well as subrogation. In addition to advising investment banks, hedge funds, and sovereign wealth funds, Judd has represented both broker-dealers and registered representatives in numerous FINRA arbitration proceedings.
Judd graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2001. After clerking for a U.S. District Court judge, Judd began his career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and later spent over 10 years as an associate at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan – two of the world’s most preeminent litigation firms. Those experiences prepared him to try cases in any forum.
Before law school, Judd graduated cum laude from Georgetown University and then obtained a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Georgetown. Judd currently lives in Manhattan and enjoys spending time with his daughter, with whom he explores New York City and the Hudson River Valley.
